Deed, 2001-2003

Accumulation of time [one week] and materials. Wool and chili pepper in a warp and weft pattern became a blanket of 3.40×6 sq. meters. A bond between hard and soft materials, sweet and spicy, attraction and repulsion.

As with Sisyphus, physically hard labor seeks the fine, penetrable line between inside and outside or between form and content.

Visual memories coupled with powerful physical sensations and contradictory feelings of wanting to run away from such a compelling and breathtaking place on the one hand and wanting to stay in this pure poetic space on the other.

מעשה , מיצג 2001-2003

מעשה של צבירה בחומרים, הנחת פיסות צמר ופלפל חריף בשכבות שתי וערב, בתהליך שארך שבוע ימים. ויצר שמיכה בגודל 3.40X6.00 מ”ר.

חיבור בין חומרים רכים לקשים, בין חריף למתוק, בין מושך לדוחה,  עבודה פיזית סיזיפית, המבקשת להתחקות אחר הגבול הדק והחדיר בין חוץ לפנים או בין מעטפת לתוך. התגובה המיידית  למתרחש הפעילה את הגוף המסתכל והמשתעל, המתעטש והדומע, גוף זה לא שכח בנקל את תגובתו הבלתי נשלטת; הצורך לברוח מן הסביבה הכופה שאינה מאפשרת נשימה, לבין הרצון להישאר בחלל פיוטי וטהור.
