“Revadim” (Layers) 2003-2005

…In the minimalist landscape revealed in the work, rather than a narrative order there are impressions and associative leaps between the different layers that exist within it.

Layers of paper that were placed, automatically and intuitively, one on top of the other – concealing and covering, revealing and discovering parts of the landscape. In a like manner the confusion of drawings on carbon paper reveals forms, and amorphous shapes through the outline of lines. The tension between the revealed and the concealed is fitting – it goes back into the past while at the same time returning to the present.

רבדים, 2003-2005

..הריבוד השכבתי הקיים בזיכרון הפרטי ובמוח האנושי כמו גם בשכבות גיאוגרפיות באנטארקטיקה, בא לידי ביטוי בעבודה בשכבות הנייר, שהושמו באופן אוטומטי ואינטואיטיבי, זו על גבי זו, תוך שהן מסתירות ומכסות אזורי נוף. באופן דומה מגלה השרבוט הרישומי על נייר ההעתקה דמויות, וצורות מבעד למתווה הקווי. המתח הקיים בין הגלוי והנסתר מתיישב בחיבורו אל הזמן ביצירה, ההליכה לעבר ובו זמנית החזרה להווה.
